Bouncing
Benny: Australias Number
1
A graceful figure, arms out
stretched, caught in mid-flight
above a lone trampoline. A photo
of determination, strength and
perseverance; my first impression
of Olympic trampolinist Ben
Wilden.
The face of Trampolines Australia,
Bouncing Benny is a true Aussie
legend. Competing around the
world, this extraordinary athlete
has represented our country
at numerous competiti ons, world
cups and the 2008 Olympic Games.
Yet somehow Ben Wilden has avoided
inheriting that snobby self-importance
we have come to expect of top
sportsmen. Watching him chat
about his love of trampolining
to an avid youngster, all you
can see is a downto- earth,
top-notch bloke, out to make
his country proud.
Bennys a great
guy comments Michael Connolly,
Operations Manager at Trampolines
Australia, He has achieved
sporting excellence in his field
and its a pleasure for
us to support him in his journey.
Ben is the embodiment of trampolining.
Just by looking at him you
can see the joys and positive
benefits it brings. I
must say that upon meeting Ben
Wilden at Trampolines Australias
recent Grand Opening, I instantly
concurred.
Travelling from his home in
Adelaide, Ben ambled in and
stole the show. Decked out in
his Australian tracksuit, especially
fitted for the up-coming 2009
World Games, Trampolines Australias
very own Olympian
chatted to parents, had a bounce
with the kids and even made
some sales! However, the highlight
of the day was his trampolining
demonstration. Performing a
routine on Trampolines Australias
largest 14ft tramp, Ben stunned
the kids and adults alike.
Clearly enjoying himself, Bouncing
Benny cut the ribbon and declared
the offices open. These
new buildings are just the beginning
he says to me in an undertone.
But when I inquire as to what
he means, he refuses to say,
Just keep your eyes peeled
and watch the website, theres
some big surprises in store.
Considering the exponential
growth of the company and the
never-ending enthusiasm of the
staff, I am eager to see whats
next for Trampolines Australia.
New products and enhanced safety
features aside, what makes this
company stand out is its friendly
and helpful nature, I
dont think I could ask
any more from them. They have
been such a great sponsor to
me and so easy to deal with
(Ben Wilden).
This July, Ben will actively
contribute to Trampolines Australias
research and development team
by providing expert advice and
feedback on the 2009 model.
Shortly after, he will be jetting
off once again to compete in
the 2009 World Games with his
synchronized trampolining partner
Blake Gaudry. Speaking of this
amazing experience Benny simply
expressed I just hope
Blake and I can do (Trampolines
Australia) proud!
